Yes. CGOS is completely free and open source. You can download, use, modify, and distribute it freely.
A modern x86_64 CPU, at least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended), and 20 GB of disk space. UEFI and legacy BIOS are both supported.
Download an ISO, flash it to a USB drive, boot from it, and follow the installation guide included on the live environment. An internet connection is recommended during install.
Yes. All desktop editions are built on the same Arch base, so you can install additional DEs via pacman. You can run Hyprland and Plasma side by side.
Yes. CGOS is built directly on Arch Linux and uses the standard Arch repos plus the AUR. It uses archiso for building the live ISOs, with a custom configuration on top.
